Now the serpent was wiser than all the other creatures of the field which the Lord God had made. The serpent said to the woman. "Did God really say you shouldn't eat from any of the trees in the garden?"

The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden.

But as for the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, it is said, 'You shall not eat it. Don't touch it. 'Cause ye must die,' said God. ”

Then the serpent said to the woman, "You shall never die.

God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. ”

So when the woman saw it, she saw that the tree looked good to eat, and was pleasing to the eye, and that the tree would make her wise, so she liked it. So the woman took the fruit and ate it, and gave it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it too.
